Taipei MRT with a Stroller: Everything Parents Need to Know
Taipei's metro is one of the most stroller-friendly underground systems in Asia. Here's how to navigate the MRT with babies and toddlers, from lifts to rush hou
Background-checked nannies in Taipei and New Taipei, most of them fluent in both Mandarin and English. Your nanny comes to your hotel or rental, and you meet them on a video call before you travel.

Taipei's main hotel areas are Xinyi around Taipei 101, Zhongshan and the streets near Taipei Main Station, and leafy Da'an. Wherever you stay, your nanny comes to your room at the time you book, already knowing your children's names, ages and routines from your request and your Meet & Greet call.
Most of our Taipei nannies speak Mandarin and English, and many also speak Taiwanese. If you'd like your children to pick up some Mandarin while you're here, say so in your request, and your nanny can bring it into their games and stories.
Taipei eats late and well: night markets like Raohe and Ningxia, dumpling houses and hot pot, rooftop bars in Xinyi and the observatory at the top of Taipei 101. Night markets with small children are doable with a plan, as our guide explains, but a slow dinner for two is easier with a nanny at the hotel.
Book your nanny from late afternoon so the handover happens before you leave. If you stay out longer than planned, message your nanny in your WhatsApp group: extra hours are invoiced after the service.
In the city, Taipei Children's Amusement Park in Shilin is built for younger children, with gentle rides and low prices, and a day at Taipei Zoo pairs well with the Maokong Gondola. Our guides cover both, plus the MRT with a stroller and the hot springs at Beitou.
For a bigger theme park, Leofoo Village in Hsinchu County makes a full day trip, and the rock formations of Yehliu Geopark are an easy outing up the coast. Summer brings heat, heavy rain and the odd typhoon, so plan a few indoor days too. If your nanny joins you, agree beforehand how their tickets and meals are covered.
Send us your dates, where you're staying and your children's ages. Our team replies within 24–48 hours, or within 4 hours for last-minute requests, with nanny profiles picked for your family, each with a bio and an intro video.
Choose a nanny and meet them on a video call. One Meet & Greet is included, and each extra interview is $10. When your schedule is set, we send the service agreement and invoice, and a WhatsApp group with your nanny opens about 24 hours before the first booking. See every step.
We recommend booking at least 14 days ahead, and earlier around Lunar New Year, when much of Taiwan is on the move. Visiting Taichung or Kaohsiung as well? Put every city in the same request.
Nanny rates in Taiwan are $28–$38 an hour (about NT$920–NT$1,250), depending on the number of children and on the nanny's experience, availability and qualifications. A one-time $49.99 booking fee covers your whole trip in Taiwan and is refunded in full if we can't match you.
Your nanny also gets a $20 transportation stipend per day of care. The minimum is 4 hours a day, or 6 to hold a full day while your plans settle. You pay in USD, by Zelle or by card through Stripe, which adds a processing fee. See full pricing.
These nannies are based in Taipei and New Taipei. Each profile shows the languages they speak and a short note in their own words. If someone stands out, mention them in your request.
